The "Edwin Fox" is the only surviving ship that transported convicts to Australia, brought settlers to both Australia and New Zealand and served in the Crimean war. She is the oldest merchant sailing ship still afloat and is berthed at The Edwin Fox Maritime Centre at Picton.
Covering some 4000 km2, the Marlborough Sounds are an extensive network
of sea-drowned valleys at the top of the South Island of New Zealand.
