Recommended Blenheim and Marlborough winery restaurants

You will be spoilt for choice from the many great dining places in Marlborough - these are a few favourites.

We recommend that reservations are made in advance and are happy to do this for you. Note: with the exeception of Hanz Herzog, winery restaurants are only open for lunchtime dining.


Set in the stunning landscape of rural, wine growing Marlborough, Arbour is a modern and relaxed environment with innovative cuisine, an extensive wine list and warm, friendly service. The kitchen offers both an a la carte menu and a 'Just Feed Me' experience of three, four, five or 'MANY' courses.


Located in Blenheim town centre, MIA uses freshly sourced local food with great local and top class wines from around the world. The food, service and atmosphere all come together to create a top class experience.

Raupo- Riverside Café & Restaurant

Raupo- is situated in the heart of Blenheim overlooking the Taylor River. Open 7 days and nights starting with breakfast from 7.30 – 11.00am. Lunch is available from 11.30 – 2.30 and the evening menu is served from 5.30 until late.

Wairau River Restaurant

Rammed earth classic colonial building houses the very popular winery restaurant, Wairau River.

Enjoy delicious food at lunchtime in a relaxed informal environment either outside under the grapevine pergolas and veranda or inside beside the large open fire in winter.

Hotel d'Urville Restaurant

Open for dinner 7 nights a week Hotel d'Urville's menu is superb.

Located in Blenheim town centre, they aim to create an unforgettable dining experience with fine food, wonderful wines and excellent service. The restaurant is located in the lovely Public Trust heritage building.

Herzog Restaurant and Bistro

In the award winning restaurant, you choose from the totally indulgent famous ‘Herzog Degustation Menu’ 5 or 3 course menu or the sensational Herzog a la carte dishes.

Or the Herzog Cellar Door Bistro. Relax in beautiful Mediterranean gardens with views of their single vineyard while experiencing casual lunchtime cuisine. The same top chefs, but with everyday prices means the bistro has become a firm favourite with tourists and locals alike.

In Picton

If you fancy a change from the vineyards, Picton is a very pretty port town with a delightful waterfront area, only 18 kilometers (15 minutes drive) away.  

Open for lunch and dinner, Le Cafe offers excellent food, some times live musical entertainment, and always a good view across the harbour.

Situated on the waterfront in Picton, Café Cortado provides an excellent atmosphere to enjoy dinner with friends or family. The slightly South American infused menu offers an excellent range of food, from pizza to full contemporary meals, and fresh, succulent New Zealand seafood dishes.

Havelock is the place to go for the local Greenlipped mussels (approximately 30 mintes drive from us)
