Meet your hosts at Marlborough Bed & Breakfast
Marilyn and Philip warmly invite you to their Bed & Breakfast near Blenheim at historic "Woodside", Tua Marina where food and wine is their passion.
Philip qualified as a chef in England, moved to corporate hospitality and attained Wine and Spirit Trust
qualifications. Marilyn is a Kiwi and a returned local.
Both have worked in the UK in first class hotels and Philip in the Caribbean and
West Virginia, USA.

Philip enjoys looking after their herd of 4 Angus/Hereford cattle

He is also a past owner and always enthusiast of classic motor cars. Building, wine
and of course cooking feature high on his list of interests.
Marilyn enjoys walking, wine and has her own website design business Untangled Web.

Jess, the host dog
Jess, the host dog, is a very friendly 13 year old dog of uncertain parentage. Her mother is known to be a Boxer, but her
father wasn't! She is a dedicated albeit ageing host dog, enthusiastically greeting all on arrival.
Walnut grove
15 walnut trees also adorn the property. You are more than welcome in late summer to gather walnuts. Last year, 1 ton of these nuts went to Uncle Joe's Walnuts, an award winning walnut oil producer.

Woodside - an 1877 historic home
Your hosts feel privileged to be the owners of Woodside, an historic property built in
1877 for Mr John Burroughs of Gloucestershire,
England. They are only the second owners of Woodside who are
not descendants of Mr Burroughs.
New
Zealand Historic Places Trust
